Lighting

I have been told that I am lighting sensitive. To me, it's just really obvious when the lighting outside is beautiful, but it seems not everyone shares my enthusiasm. I'm not at all an expert in photography, but whenever I see excellent lighting, one of the first things I think of is how great the colours and shades are for taking pictures. This usually happens at dusk, and I'm sure it would happen at dawn but I'm usually drooling on my pillow at that hour. Hot, I know. Moving on...I was inspired this early evening to take a picture to showcase the lighting, and was saddened that the picture does not do nature justice. I recognize though, that this isn't the camera's fault, but mine. I wish I knew more about photography.
